For more than 25 years, GTSI has helped shape how IT solutions and services are delivered to governments at every level. Among our historic milestones and industry firsts:

1983 — GTSI is founded to provide microcomputer software to the federal government and is among the first to offer the newly introduced Microsoft Windows to agencies.

1986 — GTSI expands its offerings, providing federal, state, and local governments with state-of-the-art microcomputers and networking equipment and offering a range of IT services, including configuring, installing, and maintaining PCs in local area networks.

1992 — GTSI registers its URL and leads the way in conducting e-commerce over the Internet.

1994 — GTSI unveils the first browser-based government contract catalog — the same year Netscape introduces its first browser.

1995 — GTSI debuts GTSI Online, a groundbreaking service for government-focused e-commerce and the first to take a government contract order through a web site.

1996 — GTSI partners with Dell to conduct business-to-government Internet sales via GTSI Online, the same year that Dell transacts the first of its own Internet sales.

1999 — GTSI debuts the first government IT portal, governmentIT.com, designed to help government users follow the latest in IT applications in a variety of environments.

2001 — GTSI becomes the first company to offer BlackBerry on three government-wide acquisition vehicles.

2003 — GTSI designs and implements the U.S. Navy's first IT network for fleet hospitals, a comprehensive solution that allows real-time IT and communications.

2004 — GTSI holds the nation's first symposium to address physical security protection from an IT infrastructure perspective.

2007 — GTSI becomes the first to introduce the concept of Technology Lifecycle Management to government IT.
