Rich Zanatta

Director of Facilities for Chief Administrator's Office, United States House of Representatives

Rich Zanatta is the Director of Facilities for the Chief Administrator's Office, United States House of Representative, where he is responsible for the daily operation and management of two data centers and various technology projects. He is also a key contributor to and supporter of the "Greening the Capitol" initiative. Mr. Zanatta has over 30 years experience within the IT industry with an emphasis on systems, storage, service delivery and operational management. He has served as the Director of Information Technology for the White House Communications Agency, Chief of System Integration, United States Space Command and has held various Information Technology positions during his 24-year career in the United States Navy.

Daniel Mintz

CIO, Department of Transportation

Daniel Mintz currently serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the United States Department of Transportation (DOT). As CIO, Mr. Mintz serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary on matters involving information resources and information services management, and provides leadership in using information technology to achieve the department's goals and objectives.

Mr. Mintz came to DOT from Sun Microsystems, where he most recently served as the Director for Government Compliance Programs and was responsible for leading a corporate-wide group responsible for security, legal, and regulatory compliance for Sun's US Government business. Over the previous ten years he was responsible for the profitability and successful implementation of large government and commercial programs both domestic and international. This included the creation and management of business and technical teams across Sun, Sun partners, and Sun customer boundaries.

Mr. Mintz's over thirty-year professional career has included senior positions leading product marketing efforts, managing the implementation of software development, and performing technical consulting. He served as a Delegate to the White House Conference on Aging in 2005, focusing on the utilization of technology to support improved medical delivery and the special issues of the nation's senior citizens. He earlier served as a member of the State of Maryland Advisory Panel on Electronic Commerce providing advice on what legislation would be necessary to enable on-line commerce in the state.

Mr. Mintz earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, and a Masters in International Management from the University of Maryland University College

Daniel P. Kent

Director, Systems Engineering, Cisco, Federal Area

Dan Kent is the Director of Systems Engineering for Cisco's Federal Organization. He leads a team of 150 engineers supporting the Department of Defense, Civilian Agencies, and the Intelligence Community with the design and deployment of integrated end-to-end, enterprise network solutions. Mr. Kent's primary role in this position is to support Federal customers by matching their requirements to scaleable, secure, resilient solutions as well as ensuring government unique requirements are understood and met within Cisco product lines. Mr. Kent brings the market leading experience and technology strategies of Cisco to the technology requirements of the Federal customers.

Mr. Kent has worked in the communications field of the Federal market over 17 years. This allows him to utilize his experience to achieve and share best business practices for the Federal marketplace. Mr. Kent's prior positions include ten years at Nortel Networks as the Director of Federal Engineering and as a Senior Consulting Engineer for Network Solutions, Inc., where he supported several government agencies. In these roles, Mr. Kent participated in the complete life cycle of various communications systems deployed. He is very knowledgeable on various Federal Certification requirements including JITC, TIC, FIPS and Common Criteria while having a proven track record ensuring commercial products meet these requirements.

Mr. Kent is a graduate of the University of Maine where he received a Bachelor's Degree and holds a Master's Degree from John Hopkins University.

Luigi Mercone

Senior Director, Symantec

Mr. Mercone is a senior IT expert with extensive experience in front-office operations for domestic and international operations in the financial services sector. He has operational knowledge across IT infrastructure hardware and software, with expertise in systems integration, new technology initiatives, and the alignment of business with IT strategy and executive-level communications.

Mr. Mercone's technical background includes subject matter expertise in key IT infrastructure disciplines including networking, data center and facility design, n-tiered application architecture optimization, enterprise scale storage implementations, disaster recovery and business contiuity planning and build-out, market data integration, automated service orchestration, delivery and provisioning platforms, and information lifecycle management paradigms.

Within Symantec, Mr. Mercone is responsible for providing technology thought leadership and strategic insight to server and endpoint virtualization businesses, as well as high availability and large-scale, high-performance computing environments.

David Edborg

Senior Technical Marketing Engineer - Data Protection Business Unit, NetApp

David Edborg has over twenty years in the data protection industry. He is currently working for NetApp as a ReplicatorX Technical Marketing Engineer. He came to NetApp with the Topio acquisition where he served as a Global Solutions Architect. Prior to his work at Topio, Mr. Edborg served as a Solutions Architect for EMC and was the Solutions Design Manager for Comdisco's Advanced Recovery & Storage Services Division. Mr. Edborg has designed and implemented high availability and internal disaster recovery solutions for many of Fortune's top 500 Companies and various government entities, including companies in the following verticals: Manufacturing, Financial Services, Legal, Medical, Retail, Application/Internet Hosting, Insurance and Banking.

Before joining Comdisco, Mr. Edborg held various positions at Computer Associates where he gained significant commercial software development experience in the areas of NCSC approved computer security software and enterprise management software. As a talented speaker and author, Mr. Edborg has designed and presented coursework on topics ranging from the "ABC's of Disaster Recovery" to "How to Survive the Big One".

Mr. Edborg has pursued post-graduate studies in Computer Science at Illinois Institute of Technology, he holds a masters degree in Mathematics and Computer Science in Education from Concordia University and a bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Purdue University.

Bill Weber

Senior Vice President, Programs and Services

As Senior Vice President of Programs and Services, Bill Weber reports to Jim Leto, GTSI's Chief Executive Officer. At GTSI, Mr. Weber leads the delivery services, integration, project management, support services, and program management businesses.

Mr. Weber brings over 15 years of experience building and leading professional services organizations, addressing the changing needs of customers in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining GTSI, he was Vice President, Client Solutions for CNT Corporation in Washington, D.C., and participated in transitioning the company through its acquisition by McDATA, a data infrastructure solutions provider headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado. At CNT/McData, he led an international, unified consulting and sales operation and formed them into a systematic go-to-market team. Prior to CNT/McData, Mr. Weber served in several leadership positions at International Network Services and AT&T, where he built and led sales and services organizations that performed in the enterprise infrastructure arena.

Mr. Weber holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He also served as Captain in the United States Army and was awarded the Bronze Star for actions during Desert Storm.

Dan Smith

Senior Manger, Solution Consulting and Engineering

Dan Smith brings over 13 years of experience designing and implementing a broad range of enterprise consolidation solutions, server and storage architectures, and application-specific IT infrastructures.

As manager of GTSI's solution consulting and engineering team, Mr. Smith combines technical expertise and innovative approaches to lead project teams in efforts that produced significant cost savings and increased operational efficiencies within government.

Mr. Smith holds a wide variety of architect-level IT certifications and qualifications with leading IT developers and manufacturers.
